AWARD CEREMONY AND GALA CONCERT

If you performed in person, you have already received a written evaluation and a mark for your performance. You are also entitled to receiving a medallion, a certificate, and if your mark was the highest in the level you competed – a trophy.
In the Festival division, if you mark is above 88, then you will receive a Gold Medallion and a Certificate; if the mark is between 85 and 87 – Silver Medallion and Certificate; between 80 and 84 – Bronze Medallion and Certificate; below 80 – a Certificate. In the Concerto division, Competitors who received a mark of 90 and above have been awarded a First Prize; if the mark is 88 or 89: a Second Place; and if the mark is between 85 and 87: a Third Place. The Competitor who has received the highest mark will also be awarded the GRAND PRIZE of the IMFC. All Awards and Prizes are listed on the IMFC website.
Competitions who received a minimum mark of 88 in minimum 3 classes will also receive a scholarship.
In addition, there are several other awards: the Long and McQuade Award, the Pirastro Award, the International Music Academy Award, the Kindred Spirits Orchestra Award.
All prizes, awards, certificates, trophies, medallions and scholarships will be announced at the Award Ceremony and Gala Concert and will be published on the IMFC website on the day following the Awards Ceremony.
Everyone, including the Competitors, needs a ticket to attend the Awards Ceremony. Each competitor will be offered one complimentary ticket, which they can use for themselves. Competitions under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult, who also needs a ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased through the IMFC website -> About -> Tickets.
To receive your ticket(s), please confirm that you will be attending the Awards Ceremony by sending an email to office@InterMusic.ca. Your ticket(s) will be emailed directly to you by the Flato Markham theatre box office.
If you performed via video recordings, you can still attend the Awards Ceremony and receive your written evaluation, mark, medallion, and certificate in person. If you reside outside of the GTHA, you will receive your evaluation form, medallion, and certificate in the mail within 3 months following the last day of the IMFC. If you have also won a trophy, you would be able to pick it up directly from our office or make arrangements to receive it by mail (for a fee). We will inform you of your mark within one week following the last day of the IMFC.
